Privacy policy
Macapp Supply is a small, independently curated directory of macOS apps. We try to collect as little personal data as possible, and only what we actually need to run the site, review submissions, and send the occasional update to people who ask for it.

What we collect
We only collect information you give us directly, plus a small amount of technical data needed to serve the site.
- Newsletter subscriptions: your email address, submitted through our subscribe form.
- App submissions: the app name, URL, category, description, images, and any contact details or notes you send us through the submission form.
- Account data (admins only): email and authentication data for people who log in to manage the site.
- Basic technical data: standard server logs (IP address, user agent, referrer, timestamps) needed to operate the site and prevent abuse.
Why we use it
- To review app submissions and decide whether they fit the collection.
- To contact you about a submission if we need clarification or want to let you know the outcome.
- To send occasional newsletter emails, only if you subscribed.
- To keep the site working, secure, and free of abuse.
Newsletter
The newsletter is opt-in. Your email is used only to send updates about new, useful, beautifully designed macOS apps we add to the shelf. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
If you submit an app, we don't automatically add you to the newsletter. Those are separate.
Cookies and analytics
We aim to keep tracking minimal. We use only cookies strictly necessary for the site to function (for example, admin login sessions). If we ever add analytics, we'll use a privacy-friendly, cookie-less option and update this page.
Third-party services
We rely on a small number of trusted providers to run the site — for hosting, database and authentication, and the newsletter subscription form. These providers process data on our behalf and only for the purposes described here.
Outbound links to app pages may occasionally be affiliate links. Those destinations have their own privacy practices, which we don't control.
How long we keep data
Newsletter emails are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. App submission data is kept as long as it's useful for maintaining the directory. Server logs are kept for a short period for security and operational reasons.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you, or to stop using it for a particular purpose. To make a request, get in touch through our contact page.

We may update this page from time to time as the site evolves. Meaningful changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date above.
