Compact Contacts is a native macOS app for people who manage large Apple Contacts libraries and need a faster way to search, compare, organize, and safely update them.
Instead of opening one card at a time, it provides a dense, configurable table with fast local search, Saved Views, groups, Favorites, Recents, and adjustable columns and row density.
Version 1.3 expands the cleanup workflow with:
- Previewed Bulk Edit for names, organizations, labeled contact fields, relationships, postal fields, birthdays, groups, and Notes
- Literal and regular-expression transformations with exact before-and-after previews
- Faster Notes indexing for large libraries
- Merge Studio on Mac, with manual field selection and encrypted on-device recovery history
- Phone-number normalization, CSV and vCard export, and privacy-safe Sample Contacts
Compact Contacts works with the contacts already managed by macOS. It does not create a new account or contact cloud. Contact processing stays on device, with no subscription, advertising, or third-party analytics.
