Minimizall
Clear your screen. Stay awake when it matters.
Minimizall is a lightweight macOS menu-bar utility built for people who juggle a lot of open windows and want their desktop back — instantly, with a keystroke or a flick of the mouse. No Dock icon, no clutter, no dialogs getting in your way. It sits quietly next to your clock and does exactly three things, very well.
Key Features
🪟 Minimize All Windows, Instantly
Press a single global keyboard shortcut (default ⌘⌥M, fully customizable) from anywhere on your Mac, and every window from every open app minimizes at once. No more clicking through a dozen apps one at a time to get to your desktop — one shortcut, clean slate.
Works across every running application, not just the one currently in focus.
The shortcut is fully rebindable from Settings.
Also available directly from the menu-bar dropdown for mouse users.
📐 Desktop Reveal on Corner Hover
Push your cursor into a corner of the screen and dwell there for a moment — your desktop clears automatically. It's the classic "hot corner" workflow, but tuned to be deliberate: a short dwell time avoids accidental triggers from just passing the mouse through on your way elsewhere.
All four screen corners (top-left, top-right, bottom-left, bottom-right) can be enabled independently and simultaneously — set up exactly the corners that make sense for your workflow.
Works across multi-monitor setups; every connected display is checked, not just your primary one.
☕ Keep Awake, With a Live Countdown You Can Actually See
Need your Mac to stay awake through a long download, a presentation, or a video call without fiddling with Energy Saver settings? Turn on Keep Awake right from the menu bar.
Defaults to a 2-hour session, adjustable anytime in ±30-minute increments while it's running.
A live, second-by-second countdown appears right next to the menu-bar icon — in red, so you always know at a glance that it's active and how much time is left.
The same live countdown is visible inside the dropdown menu too, ticking in real time even while the menu is open.
Automatically turns itself off when time runs out — no need to remember to disable it.
Designed to Stay Out of Your Way
Menu-bar only — no Dock icon by default, no app windows to manage. (An optional Dock icon can be enabled in Settings if you prefer it.)
Launch at login — set it once, and Minimizall is ready every time you start your Mac.
Native, hover-driven menu — every option, from shortcut controls to corner toggles, is one click away in a clean dropdown that behaves exactly the way you'd expect a Mac menu to behave.
How It Works
Minimizall uses macOS's built-in Accessibility API to talk to other running applications' windows directly — the same category of permission used by window managers and automation tools. The first time you use "Minimize All Windows" or corner-hover reveal, macOS will ask you to grant Accessibility access once. After that, it's seamless.
Keep Awake uses a standard IOKit power assertion — the same underlying mechanism apps like Caffeine and Amphetamine use — so your Mac's display and system won't sleep while it's active, without changing your actual Energy Saver preferences.
System Requirements
macOS 13 (Ventura) or later
Compatible with both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs
